Henry Perez for Alderman. He was Alderman of the 12th district since 2013, serving on various committees.

More About Henry
Born out of a passion to serve his community, Henry has over 40 years of public safety and security experience, with over 18 years as a police officer and supervisor in Miami, Florida. Henry continues his service to the community today through his work in the public school system teaching and mentoring students.
As a proven and inspiring leader, Henry has been recognized for his service to the community by the Urban League, L.U.L.A.C., and the Rotary Club. While serving as a police officer, Henry received over a dozen department awards for his outstanding service to the community and over 100 commendations from citizens.
As a pastor, Henry has served in Hispanic, African American, and inner-city communities. Henry has a passion for others. He has served as a youth pastor, counselor, elder, deacon, and church security consultant. And a delegate to the Bi-National Synod of the Christian Reformed Church. He has been on the Board of Trustees at Trinity Christian College and an inner-city editor for the church curriculum.
Henry has served this community as a pastor, teacher, mentor, and friend. In government, he has served on the County Human Services board. In the City, he has served on the community development board, the cemetery board, the traffic commission, the finance and personnel committee, the public safety and licensing committee, and the public works and services committee. The Common Council and the Committee of the whole.
Henry has a Bachelor of Religious Education and a Master of Theology.
Henry is a certified police officer and trainer. He has trained police departments in Florida and Michigan. He has authored a Law and Order Guide Trail for the Calvinist Cadet Corps and is the author of “Snapshots on Safety” in the Racine County Eye.
He has received the Martin Luther King Community Service Award and the Juan Carlos Ruiz Leadership Award. He has also been recognized for his work with the homeless by the Rotary Club.
He has numerous certifications including leadership and supervision, internal affairs, and managing community policing, and is a Crisis Intervention Partner.
